Academic system Leadership GP Fellowships 2020-21

Health Education England Kent Surrey Sussex (HEEKSS) is pleased to announce the launch of the 2020-21 Post CCT Fellowship programmes

The Fellowship programme aims to develop GPs able to apply expert knowledge drawn their clinical field of study to lead the development and implementation of health care services whilst being supported in the development of their academic capability.

To support the development of the programme Fellows will be expected to:

Work with their host Practice and HEEKSS to encourage other areas (regionally and nationally) to develop similar initiatives

Develop enhanced services locally

Develop ways in which Primary Care services may respond differently to support the integrated care agenda

Establish a working relationship with those more widely involved in community-based approaches to their area of clinical interest

Share their own Primary Care skills during their attachments

Learn / enhance practical skills and interventions

Develop multi-professional learning opportunities across primary and secondary care
