CHSS are pleased to invite you to our Annual Lecture 2019: Professor Chris Whitty on "Interdisciplinary Research and Neglected Areas".
Professor Whitty has been appointed as the new Chief Medical Officer for England and the UK Government's Chief Medical Adviser from October 2019. His lecture is timely given the development of the new Kent and Medway Medical School and the establishment of the new NIHR Applied Research Collaboration Kent, Surrey and Sussex. Both have a specific focus on addressing community health needs and improving health and social care services across the region.
Held on Friday 11th October, 6pm-7.30pm at Colyer-Fergusson Music Hall, University of Kent, Canterbury, the event is free and open to all with no booking required. There is a free drinks reception from 5.30pm. This event is part of the University of Kent's Open Thinking programme.
