An award-winning documentary exploring the science of Adverse Childhood Experiences will be screened in Ramsgate on 19 June.
'Resilience;, a one-hour documentary by KPJR Films, traces the science of Adverse Childhood Experiences, from the seminal 1998 ACE Study to the growth of a whole movement to treat and prevent toxic stress. It investigates the detrimental impact that ACEs can have on health – in childhood and beyond.
As part of the 'Making Kent & Medway ACE Aware' programme, the aim of this event is to bring statutory, voluntary and community together, and to
help generate the 'very wise actions' we hope will lead to lasting, whole-system change and the prevention of childhood adversity.
