Would you like to try an evidence-based approach to improve your own wellbeing, reduce your stress levels and perhaps even start enjoying being a GP again?
The East Kent Training Hub is funding an 8-week Mindfulness Course for Ashford GP’s.
The workshops will be led by Dr Neil Pillai, GP Partner and Accredited Mindfulness Teacher, who trained at Oxford Mindfulness Centre, University of Oxford.
A Mindfulness course can be understandably perceived as a way of laying the onus of GP burnout squarely at the individual level, with the message of such courses being that we just need to pull our socks up and learn to be more resilient in the face of this toxic working landscape. Burnout has been recognised by the WHO as an Occupational phenomenon, and so does require system wide interventions.
PLACES ARE LIMITED
The course will run on Tuesday evenings in Ashford at Kennington Hall and starts October 1st 2019.
