Kick Start Scheme

The Kickstart programme provides funding to support job placements for 16 to 24-year-olds on Universal Credit. The employer gets 100% of the National Minimum Wage (or the National Living Wage depending on the age) for 25 hours per week for 6 months. The Kickstart Scheme application must be for a minimum of 30 job placements, but if a single PCN cannot provide all the job placements, they can either join forces with other PCNs of finding a Kickstart gateway, such as a local authority, charity or trade body for help.

There is additional funding available for training and support that is also provided and is £1,500 per individual placement (Subject to change).
