New Ambassadors for the Physician Associate Programme

The East Kent Training Hub is happy to welcome two new Physician Associates.

Read all about them here.

Our PAAs started in post in May 2019 for a 12 month period and are having a significant impact in influencing the system to support and embed the Physician Associate role into multi-professional teams in primary and secondary care, by:

  • Putting PAs in the spotlight

  • Helping to create a sustainable workforce

  • Supporting employers to get the best out of PAs

Whilst the PAAs are all working to an agreed plan for the year, they are also here to support you so I encourage you to link in with them. If you have meetings or events you would like them to present at, please do invite them – they are more than happy to join you. Their contact details are being shared with HEE staff, Trust colleagues, Training Hubs, HEIs, the other related organisations.

For info, these PAAs are part of a wider group of ambassadors being appointed across the South of England and nationally; if you have colleagues in other regions who may be interested in finding out about PAs, Michelle and Sarah will be able to signpost you to their counterparts. South region PAAs will meet together regularly and will also meet with the national team during the year.

All enquiries and expressions of interest to host a PA Student should be sent to:
