Pilgrims Best Practice Forum: Loss and Bereavement, 23rd March 2021

BEST PRACTICE FORUM Tuesday, 23rd March 7-8.30pm, via zoom

Loss and Bereavement, led by Pilgrims Hospices MDT

On the anniversary of the first Covid-19 lockdown, after a year when health and social care professionals have dealt with unprecedented levels of death, loss and grief, Pilgrims would like to invite you to join us in a discussion of loss and bereavement.

Best Practice Forums bring us the opportunity to look collectively at our experiences, support each other, and identify together the best way forward; running them via zoom gives us all the opportunity to share our experiences and expertise – wherever we are based. Pilgrims second virtual BPF will be chaired by Sophie Van Walwyk, Head of Psychosocial & Wellbeing Services at Pilgrims. The rest of the panel will consist of Hospice staff covering all aspects of patient and family care: physical, psychological, social and spiritual; do please come prepared with any questions or situations you would like discussed.

Questions you might want to consider are:

  • How does grief affect you/your work?

  • What different kinds of loss have you experienced over the last year?

  • What coping mechanisms can we use to help?

  • How do we look after ourselves during these times?
