General Practice Competencies

As care is moving out of hospital and into the community and primary care settings, it is important to develop a sustainable and flexible workforce that can deliver high quality local care for patients and their families.

This workforce must receive training and development to build the right competences - underpinned by the right skills, behaviours and level of education - to deliver person-centred, safe and effective, evidenced-based care.
